Submit news

Share a change our readers should know about.

What makes a useful submission

We welcome news about meaningful changes to software, platforms, APIs, pricing, security, access, and technology practices. A useful submission explains what happened, when it happened, who is affected, and what readers may need to do. A product promotion without news or evidence is unlikely to fit our coverage.

Include the essentials

Include a clear headline, a short summary, the original announcement or official source, the announcement or effective date, and details about affected customers or products. Tell us if you represent the company involved, and note any embargo or time limit before publication.

Coverage is an editorial decision

Our editors decide whether a submission is relevant, credible, and useful to readers. We may check claims with independent sources, seek clarification, or choose not to publish. Submitting information does not guarantee coverage, a particular headline, or a positive assessment.

News tips and press releases are different

A news tip helps our editors investigate a development. A press release is a statement from the issuing organization. We may report on the news in a release, but we do not treat the organization's claims as independent findings. Learn more on our Press releases page.

What happens after submission

We review the details provided and may contact you if we need a source, date, or technical explanation. Please do not send passwords, confidential customer data, or unpublished material you are not allowed to share. For a tutorial, opinion, or contributed guide rather than a news tip, use Pitch an article.

Please read our privacy policy before submitting.
